Sooo true! It's so frustrating that Christmas has evolved into a "holiday" for the department stores, a time when we all spend far too much (often times more than we can possibly afford) trying to keep up with the current demands, and for who? Why can't we just get back to the real meaning of Christmas, make things from the heart and give them as gifts to our loved ones? That's how it was done when Dad and I were little kids, and we have great memories of family times, not of what we got, but of what was given from the heart, most especially love and togetherness. We would give anything to have just one more Christmas with those loved ones we've lost. No amount of purchasing can recapture that time.
